In mid-2007, Paragon Care announced that the company would pursue new opportunities that would fundamentally change its business structure and direction. After extensive analysis, the directors identified the aged and health care markets as offering excellent growth opportunities.
The company is positioning itself to be a key provider of specialist products and niche in these markets, which are growing strongly due to the ageing of the population, rising consumer expectations about the quality of service delivery and increasing government spending.
Paragon Care has four operating businesses: Axishealth & Iona Medical Products which incorporates Volker Australia supplies durable equipment to hospitals, medical centres and aged care facilities; Lifetime Planning provides financial planning services to the elderly; and Tender Living Care provides location services for people entering aged care and looking for the right accommodation.
The company has identified significant opportunities for consolidation and geographic expansion and will continue to seek suitable investments or businesses that are complementary to the existing operations and further enhance its product and service offering to the health and aged care market.
