Ballarat health services has just received a bk3000 for use with transperineal prostate biopsies. This is the first of its generation in Victoria and the only one in an Australian Public hospital. Ballarat Health Services head of urology Lachlan Dodds said “the impact this machine will make will, quite simply, be massive”.
The Male Bag Foundation, known for promoting men’s health via road trips on old postman motorbikes, donated $60,000 for the machine in partnership with Wendouree Rotary Club.
